Chapter 6 Tristesse: Baroque Castle

If I surrender unconditionally to Forte, it should be safe for you to stay in Baroque. Once I offer myself directly to Forte, that should satisfy them. They most likely won't make any attempt to invade Baroque. - Prince Crescendo

This parting will be forever.- Prince Crescendo

If they make it to Forte, they have no chance. Count Waltz isn't very sympathetic. - Jazz

Chapter 6 Tristesse: Cello Tree

It's certainly been a long time, hasn't it? I can't quite remember. How many years has it been since I last saw you? It feels like it could have been only yesterday. But I suppose it also could have been hundreds of years ago. - Grandma

Not somewhere, my dear. We've met before right here, in this very place. Because, you're the only person who can draw a fortune here. - Grandma

And because you've arrived here right on time, I guess that means you didn't have any particular trouble this time either. - Grandma

Don't tell me it's your job to just wait here for Polka to show up. - Allegretto

You see my job is to witness whether or not she ties that fortune to the sacred tree. - Grandma

It's real name is the Cello Tree. It has stood on this land for thousands and thousands of years. For the tree, it's as if time is standing still. For it never grows any bigger and it also never withers. And that is why the people who live in this land have come to call it the sacred tree. They think it is blessed, because it doesn't age. - Grandma

It's because you don't know what you're going to get before you draw, that you can have hope for the future. - Polka

Beat, I don't think she' going to come even if you shout. She doesn't have a reason to be here anymore. - Polka

Really? Oh, well, I wouldn't worry about it. It's just a scrap of paper after all. - Falsetto

Chapter 6 Tristesse: Mount Rock

This is where Tenor and I parted ways. I remember it well. The tide had turned against us, and retreat was our only option. I thought we'd be safe if we could just make it to Baroque. I was such a fool. No sooner had we crossed the border than Forte's army came pouring through right after us. We finally made it to this cave. This is the spot where those of us who remained banded together to make our final stand. I still haven't forgotten Tenor's words. Having made up my mind to fight to the death, they weren't easy words for me to hear. I felt as if I was being torn apart. But in order to carry out Tenor's wishes, Bass and I turned our backs on the blood and sand, and left the mountain behind. I wonder if I've lived up to everyone's expectations...- Jazz

We will...Baroque will surrender unconditionally. If I turn myself directly to Waltz, I'll make him understand that I am serious. - Prince Crescendo

Even if I were to sacrifice my own life in the process. After all the things I have done, it is the very least I can do to make up for it. - Princess Serenade

Even if we battled a force of that size, we'd have no chance of defeating them. And after they've killed us, they'll just continue on to invade Baroque. - Jazz

It would have been terribly rude of me to make you come all the way to Forte. So I thought I'd come to meet you half-way. - Count Waltz

Count Waltz, As leader of Baroque I surrender to you unconditionally. I do not want to make the people of my kingdom suffer under the fear of war any longer. - Prince Crescendo

But even so, through it all I thought I was following the path that I believed to be right. - Princess Serenade

I came to realize that one side would need to take a step back in order for things to change. - Princess Serenade

The fact that we are standing here now, at your mercy, is surely proof of that. It requires much more courage to take a step back than it does to take a step forward? Would you not agree? After all, there is no guarantee that there will be ground to stand upon. Please do not make our courage meaningless. Join hands with Baroque. And let us walk forward together in peace. It should be clear as the light of day to all concerned that continuing with this mutual animosity will benefit absolutely no one in the end. - Princess Serenade

And I have even less interest in Baroque's weakling prince. - Count Waltz

Don't think for a minute that I'm gonna fall for that kind of sweet talk again! -Salsa

We have no intention of making a prisoner of her. We will make sure she lives the rest of her life in comfort. - Legato

I made a decision when I left Tenuto. I wanted to spend the remainder of my life, doing things that help people. That's the whole point of my journey. - Polka

Calm down, young man. Try to refrain from doing anything foolish. Or do you intent do just throw away this historic peace that has finally been achieved? - Legato

Well now, I have no real use for any of these others. So I'll just play with you for a little amusement! - Count Waltz
